Around 30 years ago, I caught the “Africa bug” for the first time. Since then, I have been fascinated by the people, wildlife, and landscapes of this remarkable continent.

Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s words, “It always seems impossible until it’s done,” I joined WWF more than ten years ago, supporting major donors in developing conservation projects. Through several visits to Kenya, I learned about both the challenges communities face and the key role women play in driving sustainable change.

Antonia and Marius opened my eyes to the gap between legal protection and the reality of FGM/C and other forms of violence against girls and women. Today, I proudly support Zinduka as a voluntary board member alongside Pia and Lisa.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature.
