I believe lasting change begins when people have the opportunity to shape their own future. A world where women and girls can live free and self-determined lives is only possible when local voices are heard, responsibility is shared, and partnerships are rooted in equity.

My professional journey began in nursing, continued through degrees in social sciences, and eventually led me to international development cooperation. At Zinduka, I work across programme development, fundraising, and organisational development. Together with our teams and partner organisations, I am committed to advancing the rights of women and girls and ending female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C). I am particularly passionate about strengthening local organisations, fostering locally led solutions, and helping create lasting change that is driven and sustained by the communities themselves.
