Program Officer

At Zinduka, I work as a Programme Officer in Kuria, where I support community programmes that empower women and girls and contribute to ending female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C).

I was born and raised in Kuria in a family deeply rooted in tradition. Growing up, I experienced the reality of FGM and was disowned by my father, while my mother stood by me and supported our family. She remains my greatest pillar of strength and motivation. I hold a Diploma in General Agriculture and joined Zinduka because it gave me a platform to share my experiences and become part of the change I longed to see in my community.

My experiences continue to fuel my passion to fight for the rights of girls and women and to end all forms of violence against them.
